The Chasm was developed purely for the discussion of ideas. That is, provocative ideas that are based on facts and founded in logic. Many believe that people can be divided into categories, and in fact it is human nature to do so, but this experiment in communication will hopefully share viewpoints in which all of us can find common ground. There are established blogs for several categories and forums for discussing thoughts that might not be developed enough for blog posting.
